Christos Makridis is a senior researcher at Gallup, associate professor at Arizona State University, associate faculty at the Complexity Science Hub in Vienna, and non-resident fellow at Baylor University and Stanford University. He previously served as a senior adviser and founding member of the National Artificial Intelligence Institute at the Department of Veterans Affairs and led the cybersecurity, technology, and space portfolio on the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Christos has published over 120 articles in leading economics, finance, and social science journals, largely in the intersection of labor economics, human flourishing, and emerging technology. He holds dual doctorates in economics and management science & engineering from Stanford University.
