Stephanie Marken is the executive director of education research at Gallup. She is responsible for the strategic direction of Gallup’s research at the K-12 and postsecondary levels. Stephanie was the sample and design architect for Gallup’s largest education studies, including the Gallup Alumni Survey that measures short- and long-term outcomes of a college degree, the Google-Gallup Computer Science Education study measuring attitudes toward and demand for computer science education nationally, and the Gallup-New Schools Venture Fund Study assessing attitudes towards and experiences with education technology. Her work also includes large-scale, institution-wide employee engagement efforts and other complex web, mail, and telephone-based studies.

Stephanie has worked with more than 100 institutions, foundations, agencies, and nonprofit organizations designing custom research at the K-12 and postsecondary levels. This research has included hundreds of thousands of interviews with various stakeholders, including faculty and staff, teachers, superintendents, principals, graduates, students, and parents. Before her current role, Stephanie served as chief methodologist for Gallup. She was responsible for the sample design, data collection approach and methodology for Gallup’s public release studies in education and workforce development areas.
